QCPR – Bluetooth manikins

QCPR

When it comes to CPR get told that the correct compression depth should be between 5-6cm, but research has found that achieving this desired depth can be difficult. As well as if the compression rate stays consistently between 100-120rpm, and if there is a considerable amount of time wasted between compressions and breathes.

With Laerdals new manikin QCPR, it has been made possible and easy to track and record all the required elements of performing CPR. From the depth of the compressions to the appropriate ventilation volume of rescue breathes.

The QCPR does this using Bluetooth by broadcasting the readings so both the instructor and trainee can monitor and evaluate the training while it’s being performed. By using a feedback device healthcare providers can continuously measure and improve people’s CPR skills, with the detailed real time feedback and summative performance results trainers can assure that CPR is being performed in accordance with the guidelines and to the best it can be.
